Eastbourne has some excellent and varied boat fishing within easy reach of the Harbour. Beachy head is nearby and there are many wrecks, rocky reefs around the Soveriegn Light and plenty of sand and rough ground fishing for plaice, turbot smoothounds and bream. There are 5 charter boats (see below), 3 tackle shops and three great local clubs all serving the town.
Beach fishing is good and varied from Langney Point right round to Beachy Head itself with its excellent summer bass marks (if you fancy a decent hike). There is also the pier which has good all year round fishing for everything from mackerel to mullet, bass & cod - and it also houses it's own club and tackle shop.
The pier has a thriving angling Club and is always an intertesting venue to fish all year round. Permits can be obtsained from A&T Tackle situated on the end of the pier.

Set on the beautiful Sussex heritage coastline, just east of Eastbourne, Sovereign Harbour comprises five harbours that together provide over 800 marina berths and make up the UK's largest composite marina. The inner basins are entered via one of two 24-hour high capacity locks and along with floating pontoons, these locks make access to the marina easy - even for the novice boater.
